Your camera will be serviced in accordance with the Nikon service manual specifications.

It will be initially inspected to confirm any issues, then dismantled to access relevant assemblies and components.

Components will be ultrasonically cleaned, inspected for wear or damage and replaced if required (major components that have failed that are outside of the scope of a standard service, such as pentaprisms, shutter curtains etc.) will incur additional cost, but only carried out with the owners permission. No unauthorised charges will be made).

All foam seals - external and internal - will be removed and replaced with new OEM standard Japanese black foam, even if they appear to be in good condition or recently replaced by the camera owner.

Film backs can be 'double light sealed' if required at additional cost.

Electrical wiring will be replaced if required.

Battery chamber/contact will be modified to prevent the breakage that many F2's suffer from. If already broken, (very common) repair and modification will be carried out

Lubrication of the correct grades will be applied as per the service manual and the camera will be reassembled.

The shutter and light meter (meter test for Photomic versions only when meter supplied with camera) will be tested, and adjusted if required. Any repairs work will be at additional cost.

(If a Photomic metering head has failing Cds photocells, I can replace these with cells slightly different to the originals, but of modern materials at additional cost. Please message for details to service meters alone)

Testing to ensure correct operation and a final clean of the external surfaces will have your camera back to optimal performance and looking great for many years to come!

I do not offer 'partial' servicing as that defeats the object of servicing.

If the camera has had any unsuccessful attempt to repair it or been tampered with and this is not disclosed, it will incur additional costs, or the camera will be returned and any payment will be refunded, less postage cost.

NOTE: Length of time to complete servicing may vary from any estimate given - it may take longer or it may take a shorter time!
